The painting depicts the act of consciously, uncompromisingly going through the greatest pain. The title is powerful and paradoxical. The title suggests a dynamic, active journey - not sitting in pain, but riding through it, driving straight ahead. "The Wound" is a wound that is both physical and psychological, emotional and existential. Together, they create an image of consciously, courageously entering the very center of trauma, grief, or transformation. We don't run from the wound. We don't heal it immediately. We ride through it because that's the only way to reach the other side.
Obraz pokazuje akt świadomego, bezkompromisowego przejścia przez największy ból. Tytuł jest bardzo mocny i paradoksalny. Tytuł sugeruje dynamiczną, aktywną podróż -nie siedzenie w bólu, lecz przejechanie przezeń, przejazd na wprost. „The wound” to rana zarówno fizyczna, jak i psychiczna, emocjonalna, egzystencjalna. Razem tworzą obraz świadomego, odważnego wejścia w sam środek traumy, żalu lub transformacji. Nie uciekamy od rany. Nie leczymy jej od razu. Jedziemy przez nią bo tylko tak da się dotrzeć na drugą stronę. |
