The painting depicts the reconstruction of time - a moment in which past, present, and future are dismantled and then reassembled into a single whole. The title speaks to the attempt to rebuild time, which has been destroyed, whether by trauma, loss, crisis, or simply by the inexorable passage of time. Time no longer flows linearly; it has been dismantled into fragments and is now being reassembled, manually, imperfectly. The figures are both the builders and the material of this reconstruction.
Obraz ukazuje rekonstrukcję czasu- moment, w którym przeszłość, teraźniejszość i przyszłość zostają rozmontowane, a następnie na nowo złożone w jedną całość. Tytuł mówi o próbie odbudowy czasu, który uległ zniszczeniu czy to przez traumę, stratę, kryzys, czy po prostu przez nieubłagany upływ. Czas nie płynie już liniowo; został rozmontowany na fragmenty i teraz jest składany na nowo, ręcznie, niedoskonale. Postacie są jednocześnie budowniczymi i materiałem tej rekonstrukcji. |
