When the pandemic and the quarantine began, it was an extremely difficult time for me. I am not a child of closed spaces or a supporter of restrictions. From my longing for nature, places I love, traveling, I have decided to create a series of works reminding me of my beloved places. I have called it Exterior Memory, because I treat the Internet as an external memory bank of memories. In May this year, the project received funding under the scholarship program of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage “Kultura w sieci”. Kiedy rozpoczęła się pandemia i kwarantanna, był to dla mnie niezwykle trudny okres. Nie jestem dzieckiem zamkniętych przestrzeni ani zwolennikiem ograniczeń. Od mojej tęsknoty za naturą, miejsc, które kocham, podróżowania, postanowiłem stworzyć serię prac przypominających moje ukochane miejsca. Nazwałam ją Pamięć zewnętrzna, ponieważ traktuję Internet jako zewnętrzny zbiór pamięci. W maju tego roku projekt otrzymał dofinansowanie w ramach programu stypendialnego Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego „Kultura w sieci”. |
