The title of this painting is based on a play on words. "Operating Room" operates on two levels simultaneously. On the one hand, literally, as an operating room, a site of medical intervention where the body is dissected, repaired, and opened. On the other, metaphorically, as the mind's operating system. Chaos unfolds not only in the body but primarily in the mind - in our internal "software," where everything suddenly freezes, processes overlap, the boundaries of the self fracture, and primal impulses take over the rational "system."
Tytuł tego obrazu jest oparty na grze słów. „Operating Room” działa na dwóch poziomach jednocześnie. Z jednej strony dosłownie jako sala operacyjna, miejsce medycznej interwencji, gdzie ciało jest krojone, naprawiane, otwierane. Z drugiej metaforycznie, jako system operacyjny umysłu (operating system). Chaos rozgrywa się nie tylko w ciele, ale przede wszystkim w głowie - w naszym wewnętrznym „oprogramowaniu”, w którym nagle wszystko się zawiesza, procesy nakładają na siebie, granice jaźni pękają, a pierwotne impulsy przejmują kontrolę nad racjonalnym „systemem”. |
